Andrews Jacob has more than 20 years of experience in water sector with proven abilities in project management, business development, project conceptualisation and design, research and development, monitoring and evaluation. In his professional journey, he has specifically focused on planning and implementing nature-based solutions in wastewater management, faecal sludge management, water body rejuvenation, integrated urban water & natural resources management, solid waste management, urban development with expertise in sustainability and with focus on Climate Change. His technical and managerial skills include planning technically sustainable solutions for integrated water management system and sanitation solutions. His key expertise includes building strategies, development of business and operational models, program and project design, monitoring and evaluation, stakeholder consultation and management, and capacity building. He has extensive exposure in the water sector both within and outside India. In addition to his academic training as a Postgraduate in Environmental Sciences, he also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Remote Sensing & GIS Applications and in water and wastewater treatment He is currently focusing on integrated blue green infrastructure planning, designing and implementation through nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation and climate resilient urban and rural communities

Sandhya Haribal

Senior Project Manager

Sandhya brings over 22 years’ experience spanning across infrastructure development with focus on the sanitation sector, urban planning, real estate development and financial services having mostly played the role of techno-commercial, financial and policy advocacy services.A Civil Engineer and MBA by education, Sandhya has assisted several Government Departments/Agencies, Municipalities, foundations and multilateral agencies in planning and implementation of projects across sectors. As a Senior Project Manager in CDD India, she manages large scale programs in the water security and rural waste management and is also actively involved in various capacity building and training activities taken up by the organization. She represents the organization in various national and international forums and alliances to promote decentralized and nature-based solutions for water and sanitation needs in urban and rural areas. She has worked closely with the Government of Karnataka in developing and implementation of sanitation projects along with capacity building initiatives in the Non-sewered sanitation/FSM. The activities undertaken by her in terms of infrastructure advisory included project identification, feasibility assessment, project structuring including risk assessment, preparation of bidding documents and assistance in bid process management. She has also been involved in building capacities of Government officials at different levels in understanding of Public Private Partnership (PPP) framework concepts and issues through capacity building support and preparation of a handbook for PPPs. She has worked on several projects undertaken in the urban sector in Karnataka and few more States across India over the last few years. Her past experiences across various stakeholder segments and strong belief in the relevance of nature based systems helps her in formulating policies, strategies, planning project implementation and supporting with commissioning of such projects on ground. Given such a varied background, her capacity building and training expertise also helps various authorities, communities and service providers in gaining knowledge on decentralized infrastructure planning, financing, implementation and operations on ground.

Sandhya holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Masters in Business Administration with specialization in Finance. She is currently pursuing a GPDP in Sanitary Engineering from IHE Delft. She has completed a Certificate Programme on Capital Markets (CPCM), Bombay Stock Exchange and certified as a dealer for both Derivatives Market (Dealers) Module and Capital Market (Dealers) Module of National Stock Exchange

Krishna Swaroop Konidena

Senior Project Manager

Krishna has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from IRMA. He is pursuing an Executive Program in Social Impact Strategy from University of Pennsylvania.

Krishna works as a Senior Project Manager at CDD India. He has an experience of 13+ years across diverse roles and sectors. He currently anchors the FSM vertical at CDD – focusing on Monitoring & evaluation, treatment process optimization, hybridization, and capacity building. Other hats he dons at CDD India include Strategic Planning, Business Development, Organizational IT. Prior to CDD, he worked with KPMG India and Cognizant Technology Solutions – covering Multilaterals, Urban Development Departments, Water, Sanitation & Electricity Utilities, Publishing Houses. Assignments during these tenures have helped him develop a breadth of perspectives and hone his skills in Program Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Strategic Consulting, Business Process Reengineering

Likes playing cricket, singing, listening to music, traveling, reading. Avid fan of test cricket, formula1 and tennis. Through the course of the day can be spotted singing or rolling his arm over or shadow batting.

Rohini is an Environmental Engineer. After completing her Bachelors in Environmental Engineering, she went on to do a Diploma in Industrial Safety. She has also done an Environmental Planning and Management course from the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology in Ahmedabad and a FSM course from AIT Bangkok. She has over a decade’s experience in the field of Environmental Monitoring with a focus on performance assessment of wastewater and faecal sludge treatment systems. Over the years, she has worked with teams on the design, implementation and O&M of numerous DEWATSTM, waterbody rejuvenation projects and Faecal Sludge Treatment Systems in different parts of India. She has extensive experience with regards to design and implementation of many research projects on the field. She currently manages all Research and Development activities at CDD and heads our laboratory too. She has also supported many of our capacity building programs in varying capacities.

Aditi Pandey, currently heads Partnerships and communication at CDD India. She comes with an extensive experience of about 15 years

Aditi Pandey, currently heads Partnerships and communication at CDD India. She comes with an extensive experience of about 15 years in domains of environment and social issues. A trained social worker from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai , she has she has been influential in forging strategic partnerships across various stakeholders, including public, private, multilaterals and non-profit organisations. These partnerships have resulted in creating impact on ground. In the last six years her interest in the domain of water and climate change and its interconnectedness with gender and social equality has led her to design some of the most unique programs along with securing partners and resources. These are some of the most path breaking solutions in the space of water and wastewater. She is one of the very few trained Indians who has studied Nature Based Solutions from Oxford and currently all her work and solutions take the approach with support from CDD India, which is a pioneer of Nature Based Solutions and DEWATS in India. She holds two postgraduate degrees from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai specialising in Globalisation and Labour Studies and Mass Communication in Community Media. She believes strongly that inclusiveness is a non-negotiable in the space of water . Women, while being worst hit , also can be highly influential in ensuring the success of any intervention in the thematic. The inherent nature of women being primarily responsible for it at a household level, make it mandatory to ensure participation of women in all interventions to ensure success and sustainability of any intervention. Her belief greatly aligns with the vision of CDD India, and together they are working towards innovating solutions to face the challenges of water and sustainability of water.
